Paper Manufacturer
Project: A large paper manufacturer, with an 80 MW electric load, was expanding their operations and decided it would be a good opportunity to take a second look at power costs.
Analysis: Billing histories and customer service records were gathered and subjected to a detailed audit. Several key areas of interest were identified including the evaluation of their utility service contracts. A detailed analysis determined that the tariffs for this client’s rate structures had provisions for certain discounts and savings based on their utility consumption and energy trends.
Results for Client: Annual cost reductions for the client in addition to the implementation of new rate structures and other billing adjustments that resulted in total savings of over 16%, ($680,000). (These cost savings will be ongoing.)
